Obituary

James ‘Jim’ Peverley, 53, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on April 18, 2021 in Greeley, due to COVID-19.

Jim was born in Fort Collins, Colorado to John & Lillian (Floman) Peverley on November 2, 1967. He grew up there and graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1986. He worked as a glass installer and eventually became a partner in Impact Auto Glass. The company was eventually sold. He then drove a truck for a number of years and eventually started his own trucking company.

In his earlier years he enjoyed building Hot Rods and later enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved to cook. But most of all, he loved and was so proud of his two boys. He was a great father. He was a very generous & compassionate person and was willing to help just about anyone.

Jim was loved by all that truly got to know him. His entire life he was surrounded by amazing friends and family, people that stuck by his side through thick and thin. These lifelong friends were the people Jim cherished most in this world.

Jim is survived by his two sons, Jake and Tyler; his mother Lillian; brother, Bob and Bob’s wife Ann; and Tanya.

He is preceded in death by his father Jack.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 26th.

Jim was a Big Teddy Bear with the biggest heart. He rode my first motorcycle home after I purchased it because I still didn't know how to ride. Jim would lean on my counter at Countryside Liquor scratching Lottery tickets for hours hoping to hit the "Big one". We would just talk for hours. Jim was one of the most positive men I have ever known. He never had a bad thing to say. Jim you are a great part of my life and never will be forgotten! RIP MY MAN!! LOVE YA!!!

We are sending our condolences, I spent lots of time hanging with Jim and Bob in my youth. We all had a mutual interest in cars and trucks. Jim was always a good friend. I lost track of Jim and Bob in the past few years so I never got to know his family. So sorry for your loss. Dave & Leslie Thorson.
